EDUCATION SYSTEM OF RUSSIA
Basic Education
The national government provides schooling although district officials may add local flavor. After one or more years in kindergarten where they learn to read and write, children enroll in a pre-primary school, by the time they complete 4th grade.
Middle Education
After finishing elementary school, students move on to high school to study grades 5 to 9. When they finish basic education in many subjects that are intended to give them a good start in life, no matter how they choose a career in the end.
Second Education
If they wish to pursue a career in choice, students may be able to pursue higher education for a further 3 years, either to qualify for a university degree or to pursue higher education.
Vocational training colleges provide vocational training for a specific trade or part of a profession. Student knowledge is a non-academic process, and prepares them for various careers such as automotive mechanics, computer technicians and nurses. Bachelor's degree requires 4 years of full-time study. Once they have achieved this, students can choose to take up jobs, or study longer to earn a degree as a magistrate.
Russian higher education began with the establishment of the Universities of Moscow and St Petersburg (opposite) in the mid-18th century. Today more than half of all Russians have higher education degrees. Doctor of Science degrees are the highest degrees awarded after public safety a prestigious book reviewing the publication of research work in scientific journals. It is not always the same in other countries.
